The Texas Department of Transportation paid $147,000 in a grant toward an electronic payment system for the city with no local matching funds required.

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — The City Council approved a bid for Wichita Falls Transportation to contract with Delerrok Inc. to provide an app-based fare collection system, the Times Record News reports.

Delerrok Inc. will manage most of the customer service information and payments, but payments can be made at the travel center to “reload” the fare cards.
