SAN FRANCISCO — Private bus company, Bauer’s Intelligent Transportation is among 36 companies, along with the world’s biggest automakers and major tech companies, with a permit to test self-driving vehicles in California, reported the San Francisco Chronicle.
The company, which runs shuttle buses for technology firms, including Cisco Systems, Electronic Arts, Intuit, and Zynga, also offers charter buses and limos, the report said.
Bauer’s presence on the list appears to be unique, as at least one other business on plans to test robotic shuttle buses, but none of the other companies currently makes its money shuttling passengers, the Chronicle reported.
