Funding for the special transportation has been cut for five years in a row because it is tied to revenue from Atlantic City casinos — which has dropped by 30% since 2011, as gambling proliferates in nearby states.
The contractor will operate the Village of Schaumburg’s Dial-A-Ride Transportation service beginning June 1, 2013. Will implement new technologies to improve service, including vehicle monitoring system DriveCam and the Trapeze scheduling system.
