NEW YORK — Despite recent talk about the benefits of rail and hopes to expand the mode in the U.S., New Yorkers are incensed by the recent spate of rail-related problems they've encountered lately, including mechanical breakdowns, stranded trains, rising fares and the governor's plans to cut another $100 million from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's budget, reported The Los Angeles Times.
