As a result, Thor Industries' Champion, ElDorado National, General Coach and Goshen Coach vehicle brands will be built exclusively on the new IC Bus brand TC Series chassis.
Since the plant opened in 2001 and through the end of October, the facility will have built more than 73,000 buses. While some of the vehicles built at the Tulsa facility are commercial buses, the majority are school buses.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
To meet the 2010 EPA emissions requirements for on-highway diesel engines, IC Bus school and commercial buses will be powered by MaxxForce Advanced EGR engines. This pricing impacts all IC Bus school bus models and commercial models.
