MINNEPOLIS — University of Minnesota’s Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) installed a temporary roundabout at one of the school’s busiest intersections, with officials monitoring the experiment to see the effectiveness of a permanent roundabout when buses return to Washington Avenue Southeast after Central Corridor light-rail construction concludes, according to the Minnesota Daily.
The roundabout is one of several options PTS is considering for when the buses reroute. Other options include stoplights or an all-way stop, however, some university students already favor the roundabout. For the full story, click here.
