More rural Texas towns without buses

SAN ANTONIO — Intercity bus service to more than a dozen rural communities that many Texans have long relied on for travel has been shut down, according to the Texas Tribune.

Coach USA, which acquired the routes had promoted plans to incorporate many of them into its Megabus line, but due to low performance, decided to drop them and refocus its service on larger cities.

While companies such as Greyhound still serve some of the state's smaller markets, others no longer have an intercity bus provider, the Tribune reported. For the full story, click here.
