N.C. to ban smoking at bus stops

RALEIGH, N.C. — As part of an effort to improve public health and reduce littering at city facilities, the city of Raleigh plans to ban smoking at Capital Area Transit (CAT) transit centers and major bus stops, newsobserver.com reported.  

CAT administrators considered a broader approach that would have banned smoking at all city bus stops, but the Raleigh Transit Authority settled on a policy geared toward busy areas where people congregate. For the full story, click here.
