ANN ARBOR, Mich. — A push for greater transparency surrounding talks of a new Amtrak train station in Ann Arbor fell one vote short, mLive reports.

The City Council voted six to five against publicly releasing a draft copy of the city's Ann Arbor Station alternatives analysis report, which includes an evaluation of possible station locations on Depot Street and Fuller Road.

By the same split vote, the council also decided against releasing full copies of emails between the city, the Federal Railroad Administration and the Michigan Department of Transportation regarding the project. For the full story, click here.
