The Greensboro, N.C. City Council awarded a new three-year contract to Veolia Transportation to provide Greensboro Transit Authority’s (GTA) fixed-route, ADA paratransit, and Demand Responsive and Flex services.
The new contract is for three years with one, two-year option. Veolia has been under contract with the city and GTA’s board since 1999.
Veolia provides operations and maintenance services for Greensboro, utilizing 43 fixed-route buses, 14 Higher Education Area Transportation buses and 45 paratransit vehicles, and employs 236 people.
The new contract takes effect in September.
