CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority will buy the Amtrak station in North Charleston and build a new bus and train hub there as part of a $14.6 million project that was resurrected Wednesday in a unanimous board vote, according to The Post and Courier.
The effort includes a 32,000 square-foot building that will be a center for local and regional buses as well as passenger rail, taxi and shuttle service, the report said. For the full story, click here.
