The bill (HB 155) calls for soliciting proposals from companies that want to manage the authority. The winning bidder would receive a contract for a minimum of five years.

A Rutgers study is first step toward making it easier for adults on the autism spectrum to use public transportation.
The $4.9 million technology was funded in part with $2.2 million in federal congestion mitigation grants. By making bus riding more efficient, the STA hopes to attract additional riders and get more cars off the streets.
The Vine system will use 10 new, 60-foot buses, which will nearly double the passenger capacity of current bus routes. In addition, the buses will be served by new stations designed to make boarding quicker and easier, especially for the elderly and those with disabilities.
