Q'Straint to equip L.A. Metro fleet

Q’POD, the first fully integrated wheelchair securement station specifically designed and tested for transit wheelchair passenger transportation, will be installed in the 550 new Xcelsior 40-foot heavy-duty CNG buses recently ordered.

Texas transit agencies unveil mobile ticketing app

Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Fort Worth Transportation Authority, and Denton County Transportation Authority will make GoPass available starting Sept. 16. In recent years, the three agencies have collaborated to improve payment options for customers by issuing a common regional pass and deploying ticket vending machines that accept credit/debit cards.

MARTA launches rider conduct policy

Under “Ride with Respect,” prohibited activities include solicitation; selling goods or services; loud music; spitting; littering; eating on transit vehicles; and fighting. The agency is also increasing its police presence, adding security cameras to vehicles and made available to customers an app to report problems.
