Approximately 181 employees are represented by ATU 1277 including bus operators, mechanics, facility maintenance and utility employees. The agreement will be effective April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2014.
The FTA will take approximately 30 days to review it before forwarding the request to the Office of Management and Budget at the White House for its own 30-day review.

When SEPTA's trains brake at each stop to load and unload thousands of Pennsylvania passengers, the kinetic energy of the train is converted into electricity.
