FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The Fort Lauderdale City Commission voted Tuesday night to end its support for the Wave streetcar project, Local 10 ABC News reported.
The Wave Streetcar is a 2.8-mile hybrid, fixed-rail system that would run in existing street lanes with other vehicles.
Opponents have called the $195 million project, which has been slated for more than a decade, outdated and a "train to nowhere,"according to the report.
