NEW ORLEANS — A search committee has chosen two finalists for the job of the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority’s (RTA) executive director, a new position being created as a way to give locally appointed officials more say at the privately run agency, reported The New Orleans Advocate.
The two hopefuls — Cindy Terwilliger of Missouri and Ken Zatarain of Oregon — have been invited to New Orleans for interviews. The RTA board is expected to make a final decision in January.
The executive director job, which comes with a salary of up to $185,000 a year, was first spelled out in a 2015 contract between the RTA and its operator, Transdev. For the full story, click here.
