In line with the restructuring of its touring coach business in the U.S. and Canada, Daimler and the REV Group have agreed to move the sales business into an independent business unit within the Daimler Group.
Beginning in July 2018, the REV Group had been responsible for the sales and servicing of the Setra product, succeeding coach manufacturer Motor Coach Industries as Daimler Buses’ general distributor in North America.
In taking over the sales and distribution of Setra, Daimler said it is making a clear statement to the U.S. and Canadian bus markets, adding that it wants this move to “make the most of the opportunities which the North American touring coach market has to offer.”
