Greensboro Transit Launches Veterans Resource Ride With Community Partners

N.C.’s Greensboro Transit Agency (GTA) launched the GTA Veteran's Resource Ride on Veterans Day. The agency partnered with several local, state, and national non-profit and government organizations to outfit one of its transit buses as a mobile resource center for America's Heroes. Placards featuring services and programs targeting veterans run the length of the bus interior to provide useful information for vets and their families. The exterior of the bus is decaled with the shields of the armed forces along with the official flag for POW/MIA. A military camouflage pattern is applied with an integrated symbol of the Iwo Jima flag raising. A formal launch ceremony was scheduled but cancelled due to weather. In its place, a media availability was held at the J. Douglas Galyon Depot Transfer Center last week.
