A look at some of the products that wowed customers on the EXPO show floor in New Orleans in October.

All three options in the Alexander Dennis Inc. product line-up - transit, commuter and open-top - are set to benefit from a stunning new look that will be progressively rolled out over the next 18 months.

The IC Bus AC Series is the first-ever full integrated small shuttle. With an all-in-one proprietary design, this exceptionally durable small shuttle is powered by a MaxxForce 7 diesel engine and an Allison 1000 Series transmission.

The MV-1 features a Ford 4.6L 2V EFI V8 engine, CNG-powered option; a 36-inch by 56-inch doorway featuring a low step-in that allows easy entry for all passengers; and Q'Straint-compatible wheelchair restraint track system integrated into the floor.

The Nova Bus team unveiled its fully-electric prototype bus and Electro Mobility solutions. Electro Mobility is a core focus for Nova Bus, which is making great strides in significantly reducing energy consumption and emissions.

The Orion VII clean-diesel bus for Niagara Falls by Daimler Buses North America introduced new EMP air coolers with an electric fan. Other new optional items include a composite subfloor and LED interior lighting.

The HTC combines stereo audio amplifiers, Hanover Display's range of internal LED signs and a powerful processor allowing completely automatic or semi-automatic display of text, and audio announcements in one or more languages. A GPS location function allows display of passenger information media to be triggered by the vehicle as it approaches, arrives or leaves specific locations such as bus stops or terminals.

The 40-foot Gillig CNG bus completed Altoona testing in May 2011 and recorded an overall average fuel consumption of 1.02 miles per pound, or a diesel equivalent 6.01 miles per gallon.

The MCI Commuter Coach is Buy America-compliant; Altoona tested; and available in clean-diesel, Hybrid or CNG. APTA EXPO attendees had a chance to test the new ACTIA multiplex system, a 4th generation state-of-the-art multiplex diagnostics system, now standard in every Commuter Coach.
