BusCon 2010 at Chicago's Navy Pier

Hosted by Bobit Business Media with METRO Magazine as its lead sponsor, Bus-Con offered innovations ranging from new vehicles to environmentally-friendly cooling systems and everything in between to atten-dees on the show floor, while technical sessions and speakers addressed topics such as alternative fuels, driver fatigue, securing coach funding and driver safety. A special track of educational sessions focusing on University Transit-related issues was also again featured.

Attendees also got a chance to listen in on sessions, which included topics on financing, safety and alternative fuels.

An up-close and personal view of some of the latest vehicles on the market was one of the many benefits for attendees.

Overall, more than $12,000 was raised for the Les Turner ALS Foundation.

MCI's Mike Denny taught attendees how to go about nailing down financing for their vehicle purchases.

Once again, BusCon was held at Chicago's historic Navy Pier.

Following their arrival to BusCon, many attendees descended on the registration booth.

The wait to embark on the show floor is over.

The show floor's  was packed with vehicles from 58 manufacturers and more than 140 exhibitors.

Attendees again got to see the latest and greatest on the market.

IC Bus had its engines on hand to demonstrate their ability to meet 2010-EPA compliance.

Not only did exhibitors have their products on hand, but they were also available to answer questions.

More than 400 attendees got to visit U.S. Cellular Field and network during a Chicago White Sox game.

Aside from the show, receptions and educational sessions, attendees also got to catch up with old friends.

Lots of items were up for auction during the Networking Reception at U.S. Cellular Field.

Bob Crescenzo of Lancer Insurance Co. spoke about the importance of having an emergency action plan at the Breakfast and General Session.

Halsey King returned to BusCon once again to discuss, among other things, modernizing preventative maintenance.

Jack Burkert spoke during several sessions including one on OSHA compliance.
