There are 22,276 motorcoaches and buses represented in this year's Top 50 Motorcoach Operators survey. Take a look at some of these featured vehicles and find out where some of the operators ranked.
January: Top 50 Motorcoach Operators 2012

Windstar Lines Inc., based in Carroll, Iowa, tied with The Fullington Auto Bus Co. and Abbott Trailways for the 42nd spot.

Randleman, N.C.'s Holiday Companies came in at No. 45 this year, with 58 motorcoaches and buses.

Krapf's Coaches, based in West Chester, Pa., came in at No. 16 this year. The operator also recently launched smartphone apps for its transit routes.

New Britain, Conn.'s DATTCO moved up four spaces, to grab the No. 10 spot.

Sun Diego Charter Co. of San Diego took the 38th spot this year. The operator saw business increase by 15% in 2012.

Largo, Fla.-based Escot Bus Lines made the 41st spot this year.

Anchorage, Alaska's Premier Alaska Tours jumped up to the 27th spot from No. 43 last year.

Coach USA, which owns discount intercity travel service megabus.com, took the No. 2 spot in our survey again this year.

Springfield-Mass. based Peter Pan Bus Lines took the seventh spot on our list, with 259 coaches and buses.

Mears Transportation, based in Orlando, Fla., placed seventh on our list.

Martz Group of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. took the 11th spot once again this year.

New to the Top 50 list, Cleveland's Lakefront Lines placed in the 12th spot and plans to buy approximately 10 new buses in 2013, expanding its fleet by about 10%.
