Highlighting the best bus operators and bus maintenance teams in North America, the 2014 International Bus Roadeo was held Sunday, May 4 at Kansas City's Kemper Arena, in conjunction with APTA’s Bus & Paratransit Conference.

Overall, 70 bus operators and 32 maintenance teams from public transit systems across North America participated in separate competitions to showcase their skills in safe driving and vehicle maintenance.
The Operator Competition included events such as pre-trip inspection, judgment stops, turning and clearing obstacles. Meanwhile, the Mechanic Competition required skills in the identification of defects in engine, transmission, brakes, multiplex and HVAC modules.
