This year's Innovative Solutions Award winners included the MBTA, Siouxland Regional Transit System, Zello, CDTA, Genfare, AVTA, BYD, NICE, Sensible Innovations, Lake Erie Transit, and EMP.

BYD showcased a 23-foot battery-electric bus on the show floor.

As always, BusCon 2017 gave attendees the chance to get up an up-close look at all the newest vehicles and technologies available today.

Of the more than 130 exhibitors, more than 20 were new or returning to BusCon, and offered a range of products from telematics solutions to safety cameras and mobile surveillance to passenger entertainment solutions, as well as everything in between.

BusCon attendees had the opportunity to network both on and off the show floor.

IndyGo President/CEO helped Bobit Business Media President Ty Bobit cut the ribbon to start the show.

BusCon is a great place to network with peers and hear about what they are addressing issues at their operations.

WAVE's Michael Masquelier discussed inductive charging during this year's TMF.

This year’s Keynote Address, “How Connected/Autonomous Vehicle Technology will Impact Transportation,” delivered by Scott Shogan, connected/automated vehicle (C/AV) market leader for WSP USA, not only touched on the respective technologies, but also separated facts from the myths appearing in the mainstream media.

This year's PERC award winners included Franklin, N.C.'s Macon County Transit; The City of La Porte, Ind.; and Johnson City, Tenn.'s First Tennessee Human Resource Agency.

BusCon 2017 was a great place to meet up with some of the largest and smallest suppliers on the market.

Alliance Bus showcased the Vicinity.

In addition to its S2C chassis being showcased on a redesigned Krystal luxury coach, Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. showcased a pre-series production unit of its XBS straight-rail chassis powered by a Cummins L9 330 horsepower engine.

MCI, which shared a booth with New Flyer, showcased the 2018 J4500.

REV Group had a strong presence at BusCon 2017, bringing with them a total of eight vehicles.

AMF-Bruns was on the show floor demonstrating some of their latest products.

Scott Shogan talked about tech and the automobile industries’ race to pilot autonomous vehicles in condensed city settings, as well as bring them to market on a large scale.

Bill Faeth led two informative sessions that discussed how to grow your business and help it run more efficiently.

This year's sessions covered several topics, including electric buses, driver safety, and public-private partnerships.
