The three-year contract, with two years of renewable options, contains a firm order for 10 buses (20 EUs) with options for an additional 60 buses (120 EUs). Nashville MTA is a new customer for New Flyer.

New Flyer wins 80-bus NYCT order

In the last two years, New Flyer has delivered 385 low-floor 40-foot CNG buses and recently built 90 40-foot Xcelsior clean diesel buses — both fleets currently operating in New York. In July 2012, NYCT assigned a contract they held with Daimler Buses North America Inc. to New Flyer to build an additional 74 40-foot CNG buses.

S.F. MTA approves New Flyer hybrid order

Production of the 40-foot Xcelsior hybrid buses is anticipated to begin in early 2013 and will be manufactured and assembled bumper-to-bumper in New Flyer’s St. Cloud, Minn. manufacturing facility. All buses are expected to be delivered by the end of the summer 2013.

San Francisco MTA to purchase New Flyer hybrids
