Auditors recommend video surveillance for Milwaukee paratransit

A survey found some Transit Plus clients expressing concern over a lack of video surveillance in vans. The county recommended in an audit continuously running surveillance cameras be installed in all vans, prompted by a complaint regarding a man who reportedly slipped in his wheelchair while in a van "and was hanging by his neck from the seat belt affixed to the vehicle."

The Sioux Falls City Council created a task force to help the city and nonprofit organizations, including the AARP, figure out how they can support Sioux Area Metro in providing rides for those in need. The agency spends nearly half of its $7 million annual budget on paratransit services.

N.Y. MTA completes testing of BYD all-electric bus
