MOBILEdash is a new iPhone app that provides concise statistical information about an agency's fleet status. The app runs within the phone's Web browser and provides daily operational reports on fleet performance, uses a traffic light metaphor for performance indicators and allows users to pinpoint a problem. MOBILEdash integrates with the phone's communications capabilities, such as mail, text messages and calls, and provides context sensitive delegation, meaning that the specific person to contact is predefi ned based on the key performance indicator. With MOBILEdash, statistical information on fl eet operation is extracted from a database backend, such as INIT's MOBILEstatistics. The exported data is put on the company's Web server. No intermediate provider or app store is required.
