The university’s Department of Transportation Services will put the $60,000 it cost to run the three routes annually toward the more popular Shady Grove route. Some passengers on the eliminated routes said there was no discussion of the cuts with them, and are upset.

Campus Connections’ new service helps students get home for the holidays and other breaks. A former motorcoach driver for Northfield Lines who now works for Campus Connections came up with the idea, saying he wanted to help students attending smaller schools in smaller towns.

A former student has been charged with two counts of fraud for allegedly buying the passes from students and selling them for a profit on Craigslist. Charges could also be pressed against the students who sold their passes, police say.
