Jeffrey Cassell

Founder of The Transit & Paratransit Company (TAPTCO)

Jeff was the VP Corporate Risk Manager for the Laidlaw Group for 21 years and left when First Group acquired Laidlaw. Laidlaw operated 38,000 school buses and 10,000 transit and paratransit buses. While at Laidlaw, Jeff was responsible for buying insurance, overseeing claim settlements and the training and safety practices. Under his leadership, accidents were reduced almost 80%.

After leaving Laidlaw, Jeff was the founder of The Transit & Paratransit Company, known as TAPTCO.  TAPTCO has created a number of leading training courses used by over 500 agencies across north America and almost every large contractor.

Jeff is also the founder and president of The School Bus Safety Company (SBSC) that has created training courses for school bus operations. The SBSC training materials are used by over 3,000 school districts and most of the largest 50 school bus contractors.
