The American Bus Association Foundation released its second quarter 2018 Motorcoach Builder Survey. Based on surveys of the major motorcoach manufacturers that sell vehicles in the U.S. and Canada, motorcoach sales from the participating manufacturers saw an increase over the prior year’s second quarter to a total of 910 units (673 new coaches and 237 pre-owned coaches) sold in the second quarter 2018.
The increase over the previous year was led by strong new motorcoach sales. All sizes of motorcoaches saw positive growth: 45-foot motorcoach sales increased by 15%; 40- to 45-foot motorcoach sales increase by 50%; and 30- to 40-foot motorcoach sales increased by 61%.

The fact that we saw an increase in all sizes of motorcoaches show the industry’s commitment to deliver personalized experiences for their travelers whether you want to ride on a larger bus or be a part of a smaller, more intimate, motorcoach.”
