MV Transportation Inc. announced Gary Coles has been promoted to chief sales officer, core business.

In his new role, Coles will lead all strategic business development efforts in MV's core business verticals with an emphasis on fixed-route and paratransit.

Coles, who has been a leader in MV's sales team for nine years, joined the company in 2007 as a sr. VP, business development. He was responsible for leading MV's efforts in new markets, including Louisiana, Oklahoma, Atlanta, Dallas and Austin, and was instrumental in developing strategic partnerships with key transit industry leaders. Coles also managed a team of business development VPs responsible for significantly increasing company revenue.

Prior to joining MV, Coles served as a GM with Veolia Transportation, where he was responsible for managing multiple divisions, including 225 vehicles, a staff of 450 and an annual budget of $35 million.

Coles is joined by Beth Prunier who has been appointed to the role of chief sales officer, shuttle, school bus and events. As colleagues, Coles and Prunier will partner closely to ensure that their clients get the benefit of the sum of MV Transportation's 40 years of deep expertise in providing freedom of mobility with heart and innovation.
