Trailways taps Berzas for chairman post

Berzas, who was elected to the Board of Directors in 2012, will succeed Ron R. Moore, who has served as Trailways’ Chairman since 2014.

The Trailways Transportation System (Trailways) announced that its Board of Directors elected Jonathan T. Berzas, president/CEO of Pa.-based Fullington Trailways, as its next chairman, effective January 1, 2017. Berzas, who was elected to the Board of Directors in 2012, will succeed Ron R. Moore, who has served as Trailways’ Chairman since 2014. 

In January 2017, Moore will assume the positon of immediate past chairman and preside over the board’s nominating and leadership-succession process. Berzas’ three-year term of office will conclude on Dec. 31, 2019.

The motorcoach industry’s way of doing business had changed radically the last decade, Berzas stated, citing clear and concise communication, brand and leadership trust are now more important, critical business acumens core to Trailways’ enduring successes.

Berzas is the president/CEO of the Fullington Auto Bus Company/Fullington Trailways, which was founded in 1908. He brings over 25 years of experience within the motorcoach, travel and tour industry to Fullington, including stints with American Airlines and Greyhound Lines Inc. Berzas also serves as a director on both the Pennsylvania Bus Association board and Trailways' board.
