The Women in Transit reception was the brainchild of Sima Vajdani, PE, VP of the California Business Group for LAN. It was her idea three years ago to bring together women in transit and celebrate their accomplishments.

Taking place Oct. 8 to 11 in Orlando, Fla., this year's installment featured a large attendee base and a focus on vehicles and the latest technologies available to the public transit industry.

The grant funds are provided through the FTA’s competitive 2023 Low or No Emission and Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Program, which is funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
