Driver in Utah tour bus crash pleads guilty

Yasushi Mikuni, the driver of a tour bus that crashed in Utah and killed three Japanese tourists last year, pleaded guilty to reduced charges. Mikuni, who escaped the accident with minor injuries, was driving for Canyon Transportation Inc.

U. of Toronto students adopt summer U-Pass

Extending the popular Universal Bus Pass program, which allows an unlimited number of transit trips throughout the summer. The passes are paid for through student fees. Students voted overwhelmingly in favor of the program.

Ohio State U. copes with rising fuel prices

The University budgeted almost $772,000 in 2010 for fuel costs, but in 2011 that number jumped to almost $829,000. As part of their preparation, they partnered with the Central Ohio Transit Authority, which allows students to ride city buses by showing their BuckID at a cost to the student of $9 every quarter.
