Stantec’s transportation business employs more than 2,500 people. Overall, Stantec Infrastructure saw 27% year-over-year growth in 2022.

Sauve was most recently Stantec’s infrastructure innovation leader and infrastructure major projects leader for Canada, where he focused on digital solutions and supported innovation development programs. He has provided oversight to the development of major infrastructure software and digital products and supported the combined growth efforts of the firm’s GenerationAVTM, Smart(ER) Mobility, and Urban Mobility teams.

“Dave is passionate about leading and inspiring teams to deliver strong top and bottom-line results. He has demonstrated success across our four pillars of people, excellence, growth, and innovation,” said Susan Walter, executive VP of Infrastructure at Stantec. “I am confident that Dave will bring the thoughtful and strategic approach needed to achieve our goals in Transportation, creating success and opportunity for our teams.”

Sauve joined the company in 2004 and has previously led Stantec’s business in both the Greater Toronto Area and Ottawa. He is a professional civil engineer and urban planner with an MBA in Real Property Development.

“The future of transportation has never been more exciting as we move into a new era of mobility, technology, and sustainability,” said Sauve. “As we reshape the way we move, I am excited to leverage technology and innovation to help realize our clients’ visions.”

Brian Norris has been Stantec’s Transportation Business leader for over three years and will be taking over the firm’s growing Program and Construction Management (PM/CM) business.

“This is an exciting time for getting shovels in the ground, and we see an enormous opportunity to help our clients execute on their projects,” said Norris. “Stantec has extensive experience integrating constructability into design, and we know what does and doesn’t work in the field. This has led to success in helping our clients navigate the execution of their construction plans.”
