Keolis operates and maintains a range of transportation networks across 13 countries including North America with 68,000 employees. It also offers sustainable shared mobility solutions for public modes including trains, buses, and coaches, on-demand transport, automated metro and tramway systems, and more.
“LASRE has strengthened its team with the addition of Keolis, a global leader in the shared mobility market with over a century-long track record of enhancing the experience of transit passengers,” said Michael Hoghooghi, LASRE CEO. “Our aspirations for passenger delight and sustainability, align perfectly well between that of LASRE and Keolis.”
LASRE was awarded a Predevelopment (PDA) by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor (STC) Project.
Under the PDA, LASRE is working collaboratively with Metro to provide a SkyRail solution to ease congestion on the I-405 (Sepulveda) corridor between Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley to the Westside in the shortest timeframe possible; providing a long-term sustainable solution that integrates with the existing transit networks in the region.
SkyRail would be configured for a potential peak line capacity of up to 22,000 passengers per hour per direction (pphpd), with a two-minute headway. The SkyRail Alternatives are developed with inputs considered from all stakeholders to facilitate connectivity and serve this important destination.
