Hill joined BYD in 2015 as the midwest regional sales manager, and over the past three years, he has helped grow company revenue.   He was instrumental in connecting many key transportation agencies with BYD electric buses including Denver RTD, Kansas City Airport, and Indianapolis’ IndyGo, among many others.

“We are grateful to have an experienced and forward-thinking leader like Bobby Hill on our BYD team.  Bobby’s background as a buyer, owner, and operator gives him a unique understanding of our clients’ requirements and needs,” said Stella Li, president of BYD Motors.

Prior to joining BYD, Hill was VP of the nation’s largest independently owned and operated coach company, where he was responsible for 16 U.S. and Canadian locations. He also applied his transportation background to some of the most recognized sporting events in the world, by serving as a senior transportation management team member for countless Super Bowls and NBA All-Star Games, the Atlanta Summer Olympics, Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, Torino Winter Olympics, Athens Summer Olympics, Beijing Summer Olympics, and Vancouver Winter Olympics.  As a result of his extensive experience, he is already working with other BYD team leaders to plan efforts to assist in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Additionally, Hill has been a leader not only at BYD but also in the transportation industry at large, advocating for the changes and innovations required for the groundbreaking work of vehicle electrification. He is a founding member of the Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance, a non-profit organization formed this year with a mission to expand the presence of electric transportation in the state. He also serves on multiple committees for the American Public Transportation Association, the leading force in advancing public transportation, and is active in many other organizations.

“I look forward to continuing to help create innovation, achievements and enhancements that will benefit our communities, working collaboratively with all of BYD’s resources and our industry at large to move this important sustainable industry forward,” said Hill.
