Texas’ Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) named Kristina Holcomb as its new deputy CEO. Holcomb has been with DCTA since 2007 and previously served as DCTA’s VP, strategic planning and development.
In her new role, Holcomb will oversee the execution of the agency’s strategic initiatives including capital project planning and delivery while she continues collaborating with community leaders to advance mobility efforts in North Texas and leading DCTA’s regional transportation infrastructure planning, land-use strategy, as well as state and federal public policy.

Holcomb leads DCTA’s partnerships with the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) regarding regional transportation planning efforts and the agency’s involvement in NCTCOG’s 2045 Mobility Plan — a comprehensive, multimodal “blueprint” for transportation systems and services aimed at meeting the mobility needs of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area through the next 25 years.
She also serves as the board chair on the NCTCOG Surface Transportation Technical Committee, which reviews and provides recommendations regarding surface transportation planning and the funding of transportation improvements in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area.
