Alex Guariento will be responsible for the safety policies and practices of all Transdev contracts and businesses in over 200 cities, a workforce of 20,000, and 175 million annual passengers.

Transdev named Alex Guariento as its new VP, safety and security, for the North American division, responsible for the safety policies and practices of all Transdev contracts and businesses in over 200 cities, a workforce of 20,000, and 175 million annual passengers.
Guariento is an accomplished national and international safety and security leader with extensive experience in transportation, including logistic operations, fleet safety, transit safety, and occupational safety/injury prevention. He has also developed industry-leading safety and security programs with top ratings from the Department of Defense and Department of Transportation.
“There is nothing we take more seriously every day than the safe transport of our passengers and the occupational security of our workforce. This hiring decision represents that commitment,” said Transdev Services President Mike Murray. “I’m confident that Alex is the right person to lead this company's safety mission. We are all excited to see what his insight and leadership can accomplish in North America.”
Guariento's career shows progressive responsibilities for all aspects of fleet and passenger safety. In addition to leadership positions at Baker Hughes and MV Transportation, Guariento spent 14 years in various safety roles for Greyhound Lines where he developed the “Supervisory Safety Leadership” program, which significantly improved operational transportation safety management at the local and regional level.
