Transdev named Alex Guariento as its new VP, safety and security, for the North American division, responsible for the safety policies and practices of all Transdev contracts and businesses in over 200 cities, a workforce of 20,000, and 175 million annual passengers.

Guariento is an accomplished national and international safety and security leader with extensive experience in transportation, including logistic operations, fleet safety, transit safety, and occupational safety/injury prevention. He has also developed industry-leading safety and security programs with top ratings from the Department of Defense and Department of Transportation.

Guariento's career shows progressive responsibilities for all aspects of fleet and passenger safety. Most recently he served as director, fleet safety and compliance, for CEVA logistics, a global third-party logistics services provider. In addition to leadership positions at Baker Hughes and MV Transportation, Guariento spent 14 years in various safety roles for Greyhound Lines where he developed the “Supervisory Safety Leadership” program, which significantly improved operational transportation safety management at the local and regional level.
