Transdev announced the retirement of Dick Alexander, special advisor to Transdev Chairman & CEO Thierry Mallet and former Transdev U.S. CEO, after 21 years.
Alexander has worked in the transit industry his entire career, having started as a transit planner in Cincinnati in 1976. He joined Transdev U.S. in 2000. Throughout his career, Alexander navigated the mobility universe by developing new service offerings, business models and types of transportation services. In 2010, he led efforts to create the first U.S. delegated management model called Public Private Operating Partnerships. First implemented in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the model has since been successfully replicated in Sherman, Texas and Nassau County, N.Y.
