David Cangany, Transpo GM, has been elected president of the Indiana Transportation Association (ITA). The ITA represents public transportation, intercity and private bus operators, commuter rail and other transportation-related agencies and businesses throughout the state of Indiana. The association serves as a liaison with local and state government along with governmental agencies such as the Indiana Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Transit Administration.

"This is a critical time for transportation in the state of Indiana as we work to increase funding on both the state and federal level", said Cangany. "During the last legislative session, the ITA successfully lobbied for the first state funding increase in seven years and I look forward to leading the organization as we continue to build on that momentum", continued Cangany.
