San Antonio-based VIA Metropolitan Transit’s popular VIVA routes reached one million passenger trips since the lines debuted in June 2016. The three specially branded routes travel the heart of San Antonio, connecting major cultural, historic, and entertainment destinations and events. They also support employees and businesses in the city’s massive tourism and hospitality industry.

During a news conference, VIA President/CEO Jeffrey C. Arndt announced the milestone and thanked VIVA partners for being a vital part of its success as a viable transit option for both San Antonio visitors and local residents alike.
