BusCon 2015, North America’s biggest bus show is returning to Indianapolis on September 28 to 30, but attendees can expect to see and experience many new things.
For the first time ever, the Innovative Solutions Awards will be presented at the annual breakfast award ceremony Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 8:00am. The award recognizes an individual that has partnered with a solutions provider within the last year to implement a new innovation at their operation, which has helped the business save money, run more efficiently, streamline operations, improve customer satisfaction or increase ridership.
Attendees can also expect to see a larger exhibit space than last year. The exhibit hall, which is open Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 12:00pm – 5:00pm and Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 10:00am – 2:00pm, will showcase the latest technologies and products/services. The extensive exhibitor list includes nearly 48 new companies that are involved with everything from bus parts and seating to software and alternative fuel solutions.
In terms of networking, there will be two brand-new party locations: Lucas Oil Plaza and Slippery Noodle Inn. On Monday, Lucas Oil Plaza, home of the Indianapolis Colts, will allow attendees to overlook the field while enjoying a hospitable and entertaining atmosphere. On Tuesday, the Slippery Noodle Inn, the oldest continuously operating bar in Indiana, will also provide a great opportunity for attendees to connect and share solutions and challenges.
To make sure that all expectations are being met, on hand at the event will be the new GM of Bobit Business Media’s Bus and Rail Group, James Blue. Blue has several years of experience and is currently working on BusCon, METRO and School Bus Fleet.
