TEMPE, Ariz. — The Valley Metro Rail board of directors tapped Stantec Consulting Services to do the design work on Tempe’s three-mile streetcar system, KTAR News reports.
Stantec was also involved in the construction of the first 20 miles of the Valley Metro light rail construction that was completed in 2008, as well as the extensions into downtown Mesa and in northwest Phoenix.
The three-mile streetcar design should be completed in 2017 with construction starting later in the year. The project is expected to be completed by 2020. For the full story, click here.
