“This award is a significant step in the roll out of TIMPS and SITE to the North American Rail Industry, we have always believed that our approach with mobile apps is a step forward for the industry and we are beyond excited to work with the professionals at Transdev & SFRTA to implement our solutions.

This is an extremely important and busy corridor with comingled operation of freight and intercity commuter passenger trains, including Amtrak. Testing and inspection activities are critical, as well as real time viability of issues to keep trains moving” said Greg Fogarty CEO TekTracking.

TekTracking’s TIMPS revolutionizes all aspects of track maintenance. It augments the railroads current track and roadbed inspection process while providing digitized inspection and maintenance reports to support failure trend analysis analytics.

TekTracking’s SITE application optimizes the testing process by providing stakeholders with real-time field information as well as digitized versions of all pertinent test information, including automatic scheduling of inspection/test tasks, electronic test procedures, status overview of upcoming tasks, customized reports of test results and data, and supervisory alerts when inspection schedules are at risk of violating mandated inspection intervals.

SFRTA/Transdev has elected to utilize the Hours-of-Service (HOS) feature for the SITE application. The HOS feature railroads to efficiently track HOS requirements for all railroad personal. This eliminates the need for manual paper-based tracking and reporting of employee HOS, instead moving it under SITE, which automatically tracks HOS based upon employee work already being entered into reports/forms via the SITE mobile application.
