A new chapter in public transportation is set to begin on July 1, as Transdev embarks on a partnership with Calif.’s Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) to operate and maintain a portion of the agency’s fixed-route service and all paratransit operations throughout Monterey County.
The agreement, which includes a five-year base contract, reflects a shared commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and technology-forward mobility solutions to the Monterey Peninsula and Salinas Valley communities.
Driving Efficiency and Enhancing Experience
Under the new contract, Transdev will integrate advanced operational software to support MST’s goals of optimizing service delivery and improving the overall passenger experience.
Transdev is also prioritizing workforce development and community investment, with a special focus on outreach to the California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) student population.
The partnership reinforces MST’s mission to provide safe, dependable, accessible mobility services while advancing economic opportunity and regional connectivity.
“We are excited to partner with Transdev to enhance the delivery of essential transit services in Monterey County,” said Carl Sedoryk, CEO of MST. “Their experience, technology solutions, and focus on customer service align with our mission. We look forward to working together to improve mobility options for all residents.”
Long-Term Commitment to Innovation
With this collaboration, Transdev continues to expand its footprint in California while reaffirming its dedication to transit innovation and community-centered service models.
The company’s approach includes investing in technology integration, employee training, and local partnerships to drive long-term mobility and improvements in public satisfaction.
