U. of Arizona offers free shuttle after campus robberies

Following three robberies in the past month on the University of Arizona, Tucson campus, students are using SafeRide, a free shuttle service. The Associated Students of the University of Arizona pay for the fleet of about a dozen vehicles.

They said the university’s shuttle service is inconsistent in bad weather, especially during the winter months. A university spokesperson said the university does not increase bus service due to low temperatures or inclement weather because it is “impractical and cost prohibitive.”
