Rail Safety Consulting (RSC), a division of TUV Rheinland Mobility Inc. (TUV RSC), was awarded the second portion of a two-part consulting contract by the Alaska Railroad Corp. (ARRC).
TUV RSC will assist with the ongoing development and deployment of ARRC’s positive train control (PTC) system. The initial contract was awarded to RSC in 2010.
TUV RSC services will primarily address system safety program support to help ARRC achieve PTC system certification from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). The services include engineering analysis and safety design guidance for the advanced PTC system functionalities being developed for ARRC’s implementation of PTC.
TUV RSC is a consulting firm dedicated to providing a wide range of system engineering and safety services to the rapidly changing world of rail freight and passenger transportation.
