FR Conversions, a provider of emergency and mobility vehicle innovations, recently earned the Ford Pro Upfitter (FPU) accreditation, which will help expand the company's portfolio of full-size mobility vans built on the Ford Transit Chassis.
The FPU program sets a “gold standard” for final-stage vehicle manufacturers, and to earn FPU status, manufacturers must meet rigorous requirements across compliance, quality, manufacturing standards, trade affiliation, and production volume.
With the FPU accreditation, according to a company release, FR joins a select group of upfitters trusted by Ford for their “engineering rigor and customer-first mindset.”
“We are proud to be a part of the Ford specialty vehicle ecosystem. Our partnership with Ford is a testament to the quality, safety, and attention to detail that our team exercises every day,” said Anoop Prakash, CEO of FR Conversions.
FR Conversions and the Transit Industry
For fleet professionals, the accreditation expands national access to full-size ADA-compliant mobility vans built on the Ford Transit Chassis.
These rear- and side-entry van conversions feature configurable interior layouts for public fleet professionals, transit agencies, paratransit services, healthcare systems, senior living communities, and more.
“This recognition expands our ability to serve a growing population that depends on reliable, accessible mobility solutions — especially as the need for inclusive, immediately available vehicles continues to rise,” Prakash said. “We’re ready to deliver and open more eyes to the value FR Conversions brings to the accessible transportation space.”
In addition to meeting Ford’s rigorous standards, FR Conversions is an ISO 9001-certified organization featuring a Quality Management System (QMS) designed to consistently manufacture and sell products that meet the needs of customers and regulatory requirements.
