HNTB announced the hiring of two rail experts as part of its expansion of PTC and rail systems expertise and operations, with the approaching 2018 federal deadline for positive train control implementation.

Michael Bogonovich and Michael Haverstick join HNTB to help the company address infrastructure needs for the approaching legislative deadline.

Bogonovich is a senior systems project engineer with over 30 years of experience building transportation projects. Bogonovich has worked in operating, maintaining, commissioning, designing, integrating, and manufacturing rail transit vehicles, control and security systems, and facility electrical systems. He previously worked as program manager for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority and senior rail systems engineer for the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transit.

Haverstick is a PTC systems project engineer with over 26 years of experience in transit and rail communication systems. He has experience with designing communications systems, developing specifications, project management, installing communication systems, and large scale integrated communication system maintenance. Previously, Haverstick worked with the Regional Transportation District as communication system project and technical lead for Denver Eagle P3, and Dallas Area Rapid Transit as manager of communication systems on the Orange and Blue Line Design-Build Light Rail Expansion Projects.
