GEORGETOWN, Del. — Cape Gazette reported that DART First State paratransit riders are saying that the agency’s possible switch from providing door-to-door service to following ADA regulations by running service within three-quarters of a mile of fixed bus routes will cost them more and provide less service.

However, transit system officials say paratransit comprises 8% of ridership but takes up more than 45% of DART's $80 million annual budget. Transportation officials say each paratransit ride cost an average of about $50. For the full story, click here.
